The live recording of Adventures in Venueland with guest Chad Brown, an  NFL & NCAA Champion, Sports Commentator & Entrepreneur was a treat to watch.

  • The podcast has 100+ total episodes with listeners in all 50 states and 80 countries
  • Chad Brown has a surprising business selling reptiles that he started back in college!
  • Brown talked a lot about his success starting at a young age growing up in a culture of success where his high school produced 6 NFL athletes during his era
  • A huge focus of his talk was about the necessity of disappointments and failures to help us appreciate the wins
  • The “Secret Sauce” to a successful team is one that plays for each other and plays together consistently, not just an accumulation of talent

EVMC panelists on stage for the accessibility panel.
Your website should be natively accessible from the very beginning of the creation process, panelists Jaimie Garvin & Brandon Lucas said.

Did you know that there are 10 regional ADA centers located throughout the U.S., all of which can provide you with resources and guidance on accessibility?
How about that 85% of Facebook users watch posted videos without sound, relying solely on captions?

We learned all of this and much more at this morning’s session - “The ABC’s of Digital Inclusion For Social & E-Mail Marketing,” featuring panelists Jaimie Garvin (ADA Specialist, Rocky Mountain ADA Center) and our very own Brandon Lucas, carbonhouse President.

Team email marketing!

When it comes to email marketing, “standard practice” is deploying your campaign on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, right?
Not necessarily! Panelists at the “Email Marketing: Increase Those Open Rates!” afternoon session mentioned that in the consumer marketing game, Saturday - and even Sunday - mornings can be great alternative send times.

“Evenings, weekends…whenever the consumer has free time and is catching up on emails can be good times to catch a potential buyer’s attention,” panelists explained.

No cap, the concurrent session Gen Z Unleashed: Navigating the Marketing Landscape for the Next Generation gave great insight and an incredible amount of ideas on how to connect with Gen Z audiences. The top three takeaways of the session were:

  • Gen Z values experiences
  • Gen Z hugely values venue creativity, creative expression, and thoughtful details that make the experience special
  • Gen Z values the community they find in their fanbase

Fun fact of the session: Gen Z is the fastest growing audience market for the industry!
