Home to Seattle Opera and Pacific Northwest Ballet and operated by the city of Seattle, McCaw Hall is a versatile facility that also hosts corporate events and private receptions. Its two theaters allow the facility to host intimate gatherings of fewer than 400 in its Nesholm Family Lecture Hall, or nearly 3,000 in its Susan Brotman Auditorium. Inaugurated in June 2003, McCaw Hall was constructed within the basic steel support structure of the earlier Seattle Opera House, originally created for the World's Fair in 1962 and gutted for this reconstruction.
